Bedford Sharks

Hello Sharks! I'm so excited to be your coach again for a 6th year! I have been swimming my whole life and I even was an original member of the Bedford Sharks! I am currently an eighth grade math teacher through the school year after graduating from NC State in 2018. I know we will have a fantastic season this summer!!!!

Hello Sharks! My name is Alayna Carlson, I am currently a junior at East Carolina University and have been a student athlete for the past 3 years. I have been swimming competitively for 12 years now and I have coached for the Bedford Sharks for the past 3 seasons and I am excited to begin my 4th year of coaching. I started my summer league journey for the Hasentree Hammerheads and then transitioned over to year-round swimming. Along with coaching, I will be an intern for Spencer Properties this summer. I can not wait to see everyone in the shark tank. Go Sharks!

Hi Bedford Sharks!! My name is Daisy Leary and I am a recent graduate of Millbrook High School. I was on the high school swim team, and I swam with the Marlins of Raleigh for years, finishing with the Senior 3 swim group. I have been on the Bedford swim team since I was 6 years old. This is my third season as a Bedford coach, and I also have experience coaching with the Marlins of Raleigh 6-10 year olds. I can’t wait to have another amazing year with the best sharks ever!! #gosharks!!

Hello Sharks!! I am a rising senior at Enloe High School and I'm excited to be coaching this summer. I swim with the senior elite group for Marlins of Raleigh and I have been swimming with Bedford for ten years. I am great with kids and I have coached with the Sharks before. Can't wait for a great season! GO SHARKS! :)

Hey Sharks! My name is Stephen Sellick, I’m one of your assistant coaches, and I love everything about swimming. I started swimming very young when I lived in England, and we moved to the US when I was 7. I’m a rising senior at Wakefield High School and have swum for the school team 3 years in a row. This will be my 7th season as a shark, and I’m excited for a wonderful summer!

Hello, My name is Blake Savastano, I am 15 years old and I am a rising sophomore at Millbrook High School. I swim year-round for the Marlins of Raleigh and swim on the Millbrook High School Swim Team. I swam on the Bedford Sharks swim team in the past. This is my first year coaching. Go Sharks. 

Hey Sharks! My name is Grayson and I am rising junior at Cardinal Gibbons High School - where I played football, swam and currently play lacrosse. I have been a Bedford Shark swimmer since I was 5 years old, and I swam with the Marlins of Raleigh for 8 years. I am very excited about the opportunity to coach this year. Go Sharks!
